This summer, we welcomed our first grandchild—Joseph “Tucker” Sibiga—15 weeks early, clinging to life, and delighting his family in the face of profound worry and wonder.
Tucker’s next hurdle is overcoming a birth defect called esophageal atresia; his esophagus doesn’t connect with his stomach. Soon, he travels from Richmond to Boston Children’s Hospital for a lengthy corrective surgery that will save hi s life. Tucker’s mommy, Ellie, recently resigned from her job to be with Tucker in Boston for the next few months.
My goal is to replace Ellie’s lost income with portrait commissions—“12 Portraits for Tucker”—one opening a month throughout 2013. I’m offering these portraits at a $500 discount, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Sibiga family.
If you, a friend, or a loved one are interested in helping Tucker by commissioning a portrait (or just want to know more about his story), please contact me using the form below.
